We accept donations to the Somes Scholarship Fund.  Please check the donation page on our website or send the scholarship donation form with your check. Mark your check for either the Shirley Somes or Mollie scholarship fund. Thank you for supporting these important Friends activities.

2018 Schedule:

March – Posting of fliers and announcements posted in Alpine Sun, Descanso Members, Friends Facebook page,
    Pine Valley views and Friends Facebook page
May – Applicant submits a short letter which includes
    the reason he/she is pursuing this type of education
    how this type of education will contribute to the betterment of Descanso
May – Applications due; applicant information is blinded to Friends and committee members.
May – The scholarship committee reads essays and applications
May 14 – Interviews
June - Acceptance
